I did record. No really!

13 Aug

I know I promised you an episode (and I really do have a lot of stuff to talk about/show you!), but thanks to a wasted afternoon spent at the DMV and an awesome looooong business meeting that went into the wee hours of the morning, I didn’t get Episode 12 recorded.

I did record today.  I have begun submitting material to the Craft Culture Collective , a site run by a friend of mine.  Go to the site and bookmark it.  Seriously, this site will be a virtual warehouse of craft.  Tutorials, articles, patterns, photos…  and it’s all easily accessible, and so far everything is free.  There are two tutorials I’m anxious to watch – one on coffee roasting and the other on making paste paper.  I recorded a short video on one method of dyeing fiber.  It’s my most commonly used method of dyeing and you can see it in action on the CCC site.  If you’ve watched the podcast, you’ve seen some of the tools and heard about my processes.  Now you’ll be able to watch me work.  How cool is that?

I’ll post a link once the tutorial is live on the site, but for now I hope you’ll peruse the site and see all it has to offer.  If you email the site’s steward, Daniella, tell her Heather sent you.  🙂

Happy spinning and knitting!  I promise a new ep will be up soon.

Not Forgotten!

10 Aug

I know I am late in posting a new episode.  Work has been crazy lately so I haven’t been able to find time to record.  I’ll be recording Friday morning as soon as I have my coffee, so it should be uploaded by noon EST.  Exciting things are in the works – please stay tuned!
